The scandal shook Poland when the "Gazeta Wyborcza" daily published a recording online, on which the chairman of the KNF offered to protect Getin Noble Bank from going bankrupt, suggesting the bank to hire a specific lawyer for 40 million zlotys. He was recorded by the head of this very bank - Leszek Czarnecki.


Roman Giertych, an advocate and former politician. He was Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education until August 2007. He was a member of the polish parliament from 2001 until October 2007 and the chairman of the  League of Polish Families party.
